Medical record number which is a unique identifier for an individual patient.

LOG_ID

Each row of this table contains a unique LOG_ID, which represents a single patient encounter. It is possible for this table to have duplicate MRNs, indicating that a single patient has come in for multiple surgeries.

Element_name, Element_abbr

Element_name is the type of postoperative complication that a patient has and element_abbr an abbreviation for element_name.
 

CONTEXT_NAME

CONTEXT_NAME takes on one of three values: encounter, order, or note, specifying what happened as a result of the postoperative complication. 

SMRTDTA_ELEM_VALUE

This is a free text field that outlines more specific details about the postoperative complication.
